Kitchen answers one kind of question: is this food still safe, how long does it keep, can it be frozen, what temperature makes it safe to eat.
Editorial responsibility. Mahdi Ben Rhouma, a software developer who also runs iloveblogs.blog, is responsible for this publication. AI tools assist with drafting and review. References are linked so you can inspect the underlying guidance.
Where the answers come from. Every figure on these pages comes from food safety agencies: the US Department of Agriculture (USDA FSIS and its FoodKeeper data), FoodSafety.gov and the UK Food Standards Agency. When US and UK guidance differ, the page says which agency gives which figure. Temperatures are given in °C and °F.
What we stay away from. These pages are not recipes and nothing is presented as kitchen-tested. They give no medical advice: for symptoms of food poisoning, see the NHS or a doctor.
